Shania Twain's new single "Life's About to Get Good" will drop this week, and she says her long-awaited fifth studio album Now will follow in late August.

During Sunday night's Stanley Cup Finals game between the Nashville Predators and Pittsburgh Penguins, Twain talked to the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and revealed the news.

"The single is coming out June 16, 'Life's About to Get Good,'" Twain shares toward the end of her interview with Scott Oake. "And then the album is coming out in late August."

It's possible Twain is referring to the Canadian release dates, since she was talking to the CBC. But if the album drops in the U.S. in late August, that would mean either an August 18 or August 25 release date.

The news puts a firm date on a release that has been talked about for years. "Life's About to Get Good" is Twain's first radio release in more than a decade, and the Now album marks her first album since Up! in 2002. Since then she's gone through a tremendous amount of personal ups and downs, including a divorce, new marriage and Lyme disease. Her battle with Lyme disease, she said in April, threatened her voice forever, but she recovered enough to tour and record an album.

"Swingin'" and "Who's Gonna Be Your Girl?" are two other song titles Twain has shared from her next album. Until now, she had not publicly shared the album name. She tells Rolling Stone the Now album is dark at times, but inspiring as well. "Swingin'" is about fighting back.

"The fighter in me wrote that song," she tells the mag. "I was thinking of a boxer taking a swing, or a baby first coming out with his eyes and fists closed. They can’t even see yet and they’re swinging with their eyes closed."

Twain will perform on Today on Friday.
