Shane Owens ‘Alcohol Of Fame’ Is Stone Cold Real Country

With all the labels put on Country Music (Rap-Country, Bro-Country, Pop-Country), I'd like to add one more:

Stone Cold Country.

You may or may not be familiar with an artist named Shane Owens. But, if you're a fan out what country music was and should be again, this is a guy you'll want to get to know.

We've been playing several cuts from his latest Where I'm Comin' From album, and one track that jumped out to me was 'Alcohol of Fame'. First, I though the title was a clever play on words. But...a clever title does not a great song make.

No worries.

As you'll be able to hear on the video above, Shane nails it perfectly. Not only clever and not only sad, best of all this is the definition of my new term...Stone Cold Country.

Now, if you're a fan of those other terms I mentioned above, well, this may not be for you. But for those of us that love our country music traditional, this young man is the real deal.

Here's to looking forward to more stone cold country from Alabama native Shane Owens. And speaking of Alabama, here's another treat from the Where I'm Comin' From Album.
