Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz may have been right when she said "There's no place like home." According to a new study, the secret to family happiness may be staying home.

A Baylor University study found families who spend time just chilling at home together were more satisfied than those who engaged in exotic outside activities.

Researchers say taking part in unfamiliar activity actually distracts you and overstimulates the brain, giving it less time to focus on enjoying each other's company.

They also found that even just watching TV, or playing video games together, satisfies the deep social craving for belonging and connectivity.
