Even if your retirement is years away, it's natural to think about a second career.

A new survey by CareerBuilder says not only do most American workers say they look forward to a second act - but many employers say they'd like to hire those workers.

According to spokesperson Jennifer Garza, 60% of people approaching retirement age want second careers - and a lot of employers say they appreciate that gray hair.

"Mature workers have a lot of intellectual capital, they know how to weather a tough economic storm, and they can mentor others."

Garza says employers in this economy find those qualities attractive.
