Before former South Dakota State standout and current Detroit Lion Zach Zenner begins his first NFL training camp, he's coming back to the Upper Midwest to work with area youngsters this summer.

The Sanford POWER Riggs Premier Football Academy in Sioux Falls is partnering with SDSU's all-time leading rusher for the Zach Zenner Running Back Clinic, July 21, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sanford Fieldhouse in Sioux Falls.

The event is open for athletes from grades two through 12 ,and will give area players a chance to learn stance, footwork, drill work, and blocking from Zenner himself.

In a press release, Kurtiss Riggs, director of Sanford POWER Riggs Premier Football Academy, said:

We are very fortunate to get Zenner back before his NFL camp begins.

He is one of the best to ever play in this region, and the athletes will greatly enjoy working with him.

Zenner signed a free agent contract with the Lions in May, one month after going undrafted in April's NFL Draft. At SDSU, Zenner was a three-time All-American, becoming the first player in Division I football history to rush for 2,000 yards in three straight seasons. He graduated as the all-time leading rusher in Missouri Valley Conference history (6,548 yards), the third best total all-time in FCS

In the past, Sanford has teamed with current Atlanta Falcons, and former South Dakota, linebacker Tyler Starr on a defensive came at the POWER Academy.
