The South Country Music Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization and all work is done on a voluntary basis.  The organization relies primarily on donations for its support.   South Dakota merchants and Vendors are used for the business needs whenever possible, and is the organizations way of supporting South Dakota.  It is also important to recognize the venues that have hosted our events, without them, none of this would be possible.

The SDCMHoF also helps support music programs for elementary schools in the state of South Dakota.  Support has been given in the past to elementary school music programs.  That program was on hold during 2014 with efforts being directed to the purchase of property for the South Dakota Country Music Opry House and Museum.  Some of the youngsters have performed on stage with the Hall of Famers and there is a group of youngsters who will be performing on Saturday night with Elaine Peacock and friends, also on the Dakotaland Stage beginning at 6pm.
