Two men are in the hospital after the vehicles they were driving collided late Monday afternoon resulting in a truck rollover near the outskirts of eastern Sioux Falls.

KDLT News is reporting the accident took place around 4 PM on Monday (August 28) at the intersection of 26th Street and Six Mile Road.

Police told KDLT News that a Chevy Trailblazer drove through a stop sign, and struck a Kia Sorento. The accident ended up causing the Trailblazer to flip, trapping the driver inside. Rescue crews were able to get the driver of the vehicle out successfully.

According to KDLT News, both drivers were rushed to a Sioux Falls hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Trailblazer was also cited for a stop sign violation. Authorities say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
