Road Rager Goes Off on Sioux Falls Bicyclist

Facebook

A Sioux Falls bicyclist says the man in this photo went off at him while he was riding on Louise Avenue.

Joe Stiller posted the photo on Facebook with the following:

Any one know this dude he hit me on Louise Avenue over by Vern [Eide] Honda on south Louise ave.. deliberately…. and told me to get the F off the road.. and when I tried to take a picture of his license plate he took off.

As of now the photo has been shared over 1,000 times.

The driver of the truck has come out and said he did not hit the man but did yell at him.

If you are annoyed with bicycles riding with motorized traffic on major city streets, that is your right. But you certainly shouldn’t intentionally hit or tap them. Yelling at them for being there is also uncalled for. Treat them like any other motorist on the road.

On the other hand, if you are a bicyclist and expect no one to ever get annoyed that you are in their way in traffic because you are too slow, you are not being realistic. Drivers get annoyed with anything that slows them down in their car. Whether it’s an elderly driver going 20 miles per hour under the speed limit or a bicycle, drivers get irritated when they are slowed down.

You have a right to the road and should be treated the same as every other motorist. If you’re slowing things down, or riding improperly, expect to hear about it just like another driver would.
