Rapid City Man Dies 2 Days after Falling off Pickup Tailgate

CAMP CROOK, S.D. (AP) — A Rapid City man injured in an incident involving a pickup truck in Harding County has died of his injuries.

The Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Jared Weischedel was injured Sunday night in Camp Crook when he was riding on the tailgate of a pickup truck and fell off. Authorities say he died on Tuesday in a Rapid City hospital.

The patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
