Beloved country star George Jones will forever be remembered as Possum, thanks to Randy Travis, who debuted a deeply moving song in tribute to the iconic singer, appropriately titled 'Tonight I'm Playin' Possum.'

The song was publicly played for the the first time at the Remembering George Jones panel at the CMA Music Festival, and it was an extremely emotional time, as the heartfelt song was performed and hundreds of fans gave a rousing standing ovation. At the end of the panel, Possum's wife, Nancy Jones, revealed the legend's last words.

'Tonight I'm Playin' Possum' was recently recorded by the country icon and singer Joe Nichols. The 'Forever and Ever, Amen' hitmaker states, “It was an honor when I received a request to record this tribute to George Jones, and after I heard how well Keith Gattis had written 'Tonight I’m Playin’ Possum,' I was excited to record it.  Thanks to Joe Nichols for coming in and helping on this project."

This touching tribute can be downloaded on iTunes and will also be on Travis' next album, due this fall. With 18 No. 1 singles, certification of the rare quintuple platinum album 'Always and Forever' and one triple platinum album 'Storms of Life,' the singer's upcoming album is highly anticipated by country music fans.
