Porter And Dolly Had Their Artistic And Legal Differences
When we sit down and think about the greatest country music duo's in history, there really is not absolute right answer. Everyone has their opinion and really, they're all right.
And of course, there's Porter and Dolly.
Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton had an amazing, if somewhat short, career together. And then it was over. And, at least for a number of years, rather messy.
Depending on who you listened to, either Dolly simply wanted to branch out and explore her potential. Or she deserted the artist who had given her the stage and a great opportunity.
Things were 'patched up', thankfully, long before Porter Wagoner's death in 2007. But as this video attests, things weren't always smooth between these 2 superstars.
