Thanks to a tip from the public, a Sioux Falls man was arrested in connection with a recent pharmacy robbery.

"On July 9th, 2016, the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 41st Street and Louise Avenue was robbed," Police Sgt. Sean Kooistra told us. "An individual had walked over to the pharmacy and handed the pharmacist a note requesting certain prescription medications. He also displayed a handgun. Just recently, we received a Crimestoppers tip that led our detectives to a suspect. They followed up on the tip by conducting various interviews and were able to positively identify an individual and make an arrest."

Kooistra says 27-year-old Brandon McCormack faces first degree robbery charges.
