Police Charge Sioux Falls Woman with Shooting Boyfriend in Back

Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens says a shooting took place Thursday night in the east part of the city.

"Two people (boyfriend/girlfriend) were in a house. We know there was some type of argument. It lead up to her grabbing a 22 caliber gun and shooting him. He was shot one time in the back. He was taken to the hospital. We haven't spoken to him yet. So far, we have a limited information from her about what happened. Hopefully, we will be able to talk to him in the near future and try to figure out more about what led up to this shooting. Right now, the boyfriend is not able to communicate with police for medical reasons."

Clemens says 39-year-old Kellie Bingen of Sioux Falls has been charged with aggravated assault domestic."
