Pierre Residents to Pick Name of New Elementary

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — Pierre residents will decide the name of a new elementary school scheduled to open next year in the northeast part of the capital city.

The school board narrowed the list to Harrison, Lincoln, Kennedy and Roosevelt. KCCR-AM reports people can cast their vote at the school administration office until the end of the month or at parent-teacher conferences next week.

The votes will be tallied and given to the school board, which will make the final decision.
