Pierre Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Stabbing

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — A Pierre man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for breaking into an apartment and stabbing a woman.

KCCR radio reports 38-year-old Lester Brown was sentenced Tuesday in Hughes County.

Authorities say Brown broke into an apartment in April and stabbed a 43-year-old woman.

The woman was treated at a local hospital and released.
