Pierre Man Charged in Death of 2-month-old Son

PIERRE - A 29-year-old Pierre man has been charged with second-degree manslaughter in the death of his two-month-old son.

KCCR reports that no bond has been set for Garfield Good Face. He is currently being held at the Hughes County Jail.

Pierre Police Captain Elton Blemaster says officers received a called of an unresponsive infant about 9:30 a.m. Thursday. When officers arrived to Good Face's home, they began CPR on the child. The child was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital.

The cause of the death has not been determined. Blemaster says an autopsy has been ordered.

The investigation is continuing.
