The quarterback whose life is currently hotter than a barbecue grill in July is making a stop in Sioux Falls.

Fresh off his Superbowl victory with the Denver Broncos, Peyton Manning will be the featured speaker at the inaugural South Dakota Sports Award event coming up June 3, at the Sanford Pentagon.

The event will honor the achievements of more than 100 high school athletes, who have been nominated for awards from 17 different sports around the state during the 2015-2016 school year. It will also recognize coaches, teams and community contributors.

Manning, who just finished achieving his second Superbowl victory, has come under fire again recently over allegations made from an article in the Tennessean regarding the news of his alleged assault of a female athletic trainer during his college days at the University of Tennessee. During the incident, the athletic trainer claims Manning put his genitals on her head while Manning says he was just mooning a teammate.

There has since been a lawsuit filed and settled in that alleged incident stemming back to 1996.

Manning a five-time NFL most valuable player, who is known for his squeaky clean image is also in the process of mulling over a potential retirement after playing 18-years in the game.
