Outlaw Driver Lynton Jeffrey Talks From Huset’s [VIDEO]
Outlaw Sprint Car driver Lynton Jeffrey, a native of Australia, took a few moments from his busy schedule to talk with me about the two car teams he is working with this year. He talked about who owns the cars and what his role is with the team.
Jeffrey earned the season championship in the Outlaw Sprints at Huset’s Speedway in the 2010 season. This is the same rack that he won his first ever 410 feature.
According to the Knoxville Raceway website:
Lynton Jeffrey combines racing as a driver, with his skills as a manufacturer. The transplanted Australian has won multiple championships with his popular Vortex wings, including several with the World of Outlaws. After running in Australia, and across the United States, Lynton settled into a weekly routine in 2003 in the Midwest including weekly visits to Knoxville and the Huset’s Speedway.
Jeffrey talked about the driver of the other team car – 15-year-old Chris Martin and explained how the he was helping out the young driver.
“I started working with Chris last Fall,” said Jeffrey.” He’s a good kid and he’s going to be exciting to watch.”
Martin has been racing out in California with Brent Kaeding. On Memorial Day, Martin raced from the 11th starting position to a 5th place finish at Huset’s. He looked very impressive.
