ONIDA, S.D. (AP) — An Onida man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for having a drug operation in a home where his 3-year-old daughter also lived.

KCCR radio reports that 25-year-old Kyler Onken reached a plea agreement with prosecutors on drug and child abuse charges. He was sentenced in both Sully and Hughes counties at the same time.

Onken was arrested in January in Pierre after he bought 3 pounds of marijuana from a police informant.

Onken's wife, Devin Uecker Onken, has pleaded not guilty in Hughes County to drug and child abuse counts.
