Because this is about a couple one-cent coins that became worth a combined value of $869,500. Yes, we are talking about two single one-cent coins here.

This is the story of a couple items selling for a pretty penny. It happened Wednesday in California.

Two copper coins dating back to the earliest days of the U.S. Mint, sold at an Anaheim auction. They both were dated to 1792.

One of them, known as the "Birch Cent," sold for $517,000. The other, known as the "Silver Center Cent," went for $352,500.
