Do you know these two guys?

Don't be embarrassed if you don't, a lot of avid golf fans have no idea who this duo is.

Just so you know, that's Ben Martin on the left, Robert Streb on the right, and they just happen to be your most recent winners on the PGA Tour - Martin in Las Vegas, Streb in Georgia.

Both are first time winners on tour and in this edition of 'Off The Tee', I asked Joel Harrington from 4 Deep Golf blog if having a run of relative unknowns winning events is good or bad for the game of golf:

A month after the latest Team USA meltdown in Ryder Cup play, the fallout continues.

The man who selected Tom Watson to captain the squad in Scotland, PGA President Ted Bishop is out of a job, a month before his term was scheduled to end, not because of the Watson pick, but rather an inappropriate Tweet aimed at Ian Poulter, after the golfer criticized commentator Nick Faldo for Faldo calling Sergio Garcia 'useless' during the Ryder Cup.

I asked Joel about the tweet and the subsequent aftermath:

Meanwhile there continues to be a seemingly endless number of solutions being proposed to attempt to solve Team USA's recent woes in Ryder Cup play.

The latest to weigh-in is PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem, who says he believes American golfers suffer from a lack of foursome experience, which makes up eight of the 28 matches at a Ryder Cup event.

Finchem's fix?  To create a foursome exhibition event in March of every year to give players more experience with the format.

I asked Joel what he thought of the idea:
