Off-road Riders Report Body Near Pactola Reservoir

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Authorities in the Rapid City area are investigating a report of a body in rugged country west of Pactola Reservoir in the Black Hills.

Riders of all-terrain vehicles in the area reported finding a decomposed body Tuesday night. Authorities say they considered the report credible and tried to reach the area but called off the effort due to darkness and dangerous terrain.

Officials planned to resume the search Wednesday.
