Sioux Falls Fire Rescue Crews responded to 521 North Fairfax Avenue Sunday night for a report of smoke in a residence.

Upon arrival, fire crews noticed light smoke coming from the eaves and attic vents.

The resident was home at the time and reported everyone got out of the home.

Once inside Fire Rescue crews were able to gain access to the attic and found a large area of insulation that had been smoldering. Crews removed the burned and charred insulation and remained on scene to confirm the fire was out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
