When it's winter time in South Dakota I love making crock pot meals.  And you can do so many great meals in a slow cooker.

I recently tried a new twist on an old standard roast recipe I've used.  And it turned out awesome.

Here's what I tossed together for this delicious meal:

  • 1 Beef Roast cut in 1/2
  • 2 Cups Real Apple Juice
  • 1 Cup Chicken Stock
  • 1 Package Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • Celery Salt, Sea Salt, Pepper

I let that slow cook all morning.  Then early in the afternoon I added some baby carrots and cut up potatoes and let it cook until suppertime.

Buy the time we were ready to eat everything was tender and tasty.  The spices and apple juice added an incredible dimension to the savory flavor of the meat and vegetables.

Trust me, you'll love it!
