The owner of El Jalapeño Mexican Grill on Minnesota, Juan Padilla, is going to open a new Mexican restaurant and nightclub in the old Nutty's North/Boonie's BBQ building.

Padilla has been booking Mexican bands to perform in Sioux Falls, but they usually use another venue like The Icon. He believes there isn't enough entertainment in Sioux Falls geared towards Hispanics, so he is going to change that.

The new venue will be called Casa Vieja Nightclub & Restaurant and is located at 805 N. West Ave, near The Denny Sanford Premier Center.

According to The Argus Business Journal, the building was renovated when it became Boonie's BBQ so it could open fairly soon. The building has sat vacant for three years so needs some cleaning up, but is otherwise ready to go.
