The history of television is filled with great private detectives, private eye's, and law enforcement folks.

Whether it's in the 'old west' with Palladin, the hard, rough streets of New York with 'Baretta', the sunshine of Miami with 'Miami Vice' or maybe you need Jim Rockford...and that's only the beginning.

Well, in 1967, we were introduced to a new private detective.  And we liked him enough to invite him into our homes every week until 1975.

Joe Mannix was a Korean War veteran who chased (and every week caught) the bad guys in Los Angeles.

A four-time Golden Globe Award nominee, not to mention a four-time Grammy nominee, Mannix has earned it's spot among the best detective shows ever.  And did you know....

'Mannix' was the last series ever produced by the legendary Desilu studio's?  'tis true.

Actor Mike Connors portrayed Joe Mannix.  I'm happy to say Mike recently celebrated his 89th birthday and has been married to his wife Mary Lou since 1949!
