Mountain Lion Reportedly Kills Chihuahua

A Black Hills woman says that a mountain lion killed her 2-year-old Chihuahua at her home near Central City, SD.

The Black Hills Pioneer reports that early in the morning of January 7, Debra Martz let her dog outside on it's chain. Shortly after, Martz heard something jump on her porch. She then heard the dog squeal. Opening the door Martz saw the lion with the dog in it's mouth. She quickly closed the door and the cat ran off with the dog.

Martz's husband Mike the chased the lion out of the yard. Later he tried to track the animal, but was unsuccessful.
