On Wednesday, Chad Campbell, Executive Director of the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House here in Sioux Falls, shared a real success story with me.  Obviously, lives are being changed at the facility!

"We had an individual that came into our family unit just little over 17 days ago. She is a single mom with a small child. The Sioux Falls woman needed help and additional resources. We got her connected with our resources at the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House. The great news is in a short few weeks we've been able to get this individual into her own apartment and the family is able to move out of our facility today."

Campbell says his staff will follow up with the single mother as she re-enters the community.

"We need to connect with a lot of individuals with the various resources that are available in our community. The single mom will be assisted with her furniture, child care---all those different type of things that an individual needs to be successful in life. This individual had already established some really great things. She already had a job. She was focusing on her family and just needed that little bit extra help to move things along. That's what we were able to do at the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House---connect her with the resources that we have to allow her to be successful long term."

Campbell says the Sioux Falls facility is working with all their guests in an effort to enable them to become self-sufficient.
