According to a just released study, air pollution is the single biggest environmental risk the world currently faces.

The report from the World Health Organization finds air pollution kills roughly 7 million people worldwide every year.  The agency says air pollution can be attributed to one in every eight deaths.

The study found one of the main risks that comes with air pollution is that the lungs can become irritated when tiny particles are ingested.

Scientists also think air pollution may cause heart inflammation that can eventually lead to chronic problems or even a heart attack.
