Remember the reconstruction project last summer on West Russell Street. It's coming back again, this time in the eastbound lanes.

The State Department of Transportation and the City of Sioux Falls say the work on the eastbound lanes of Russell between Minnesota Avenue and Westport Avenue will begin on Monday, April 14.

That means the south half of the intersection at West Russell Street and North Kiwanis Avenue will be closed, with two-way traffic between Westport and Western Avenues moved to the westbound lanes.

While the intersection is closed, the DOT says traffic will use Louise Avenue, Madison Street and Western Avenue.

DOT says the interim completion date for the eastbound lanes of Russell Street from Westport Avenue to West Avenue is August 15, while the overall completion date is November 21.

T&R Contracting of Sioux Falls is the prime contractor for the $18.3 million project.
