The NFL released preseason schedules for each NFL team, and the Minnesota Vikings will face their former coach and former quarterback in their two home games.

Minnesota will open the NFL preseason schedule with the Hall of Fame game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on August 9. The Vikings will play five preseason games.

In the first week of the preseason, the Vikings will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Former Vikings coach Leslie Frazier will return to Minnesota as the defensive coordinator of Tampa Bay. This will be Frazier's first trip back to Minnesota since being fired after the 2013 season.

The Vikings won't have to wait long to play their second preseason home game as they will host the Oakland Raiders in week two. Oakland acquired former Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder during the offseason. Ponder was drafted 12th overall by the Vikings in 2011. This will also be the second consecutive year the Vikings and Raiders meet in the preseason.

Dallas will host Minnesota in the third week of preseason football. This will be the Vikings second trip to Cowboys Stadium, as they lost their first trip 27-23 during the 2013 regular season.

In the final walkthrough before the regular season, Minnesota and Tennessee will play for a third year in a row during the last week of preseason. Minnesota has won both previous preseason meetings (2013 in Minnesota, and 2014 in Tennessee), and they will travel to Tennessee again in 2015.
