Minnesota Vikings’ Greg Jennings Jabs at Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers

Minnesota Vikings new wide receiver Greg Jennings hasn't had the best things to say about his former quarterback this off-season since signing with the Green Bay's rival. Aaron Rodgers' even may have started it, but Jennings wants to have the last say, as he took a stab at Rodgers in June and again yesterday as training camp began in Mankato for the Vikings.

In June at the Wisconsin Sports Awards, Rodgers was asked about Jennings and responded with, "Who?" So, Jennings said the same about Rodgers, and responded the same way, too. Then, Jennings took it even farther. Jennings said in June, " He is extremely smart, like brilliant. He's just thinking about how he can beat you the next time while he's beating you the first time. That's just the way his mind works. He sees something and it's like stored in a memory bank and he remembers it once he sees it and he's checking it at the line. He's going to put you in the best situation to be successful. His accuracy...I can go on and on. He's a good quarterback. He had great receivers. He had no choice. He had no choice but to be a great quarterback. I'm joking."

As Jennings and Rodgers took jabs at each other in June, Jennings continued yesterday at training camp to talk about his former quarterback in Green Bay. "Don't get me wrong, '12' is a great person, but when you hear all the positives, all positives all the time, it's hard for you to sit down when one of your teammates says, 'Man, come on, you've got to hold yourself accountable for this.' It's hard for someone to see that now because all they've heard is I'm doing it the right way, I'm perfect. In actuality, we all have flaws."

So, it appears both Rodgers and Jennings are disappointed they had to part ways, refusing to say each other's name. But while it sounded like praise Jennings' was giving Rodgers' back in Juen, he decided to say he was joking afterward, and then continued yesterday to say harsh words about his former quarterback. It could be Jennings' was just messing around, or was he serious about what he said about Rodgers?

In the end, there is some hostility, and bad blood between Rodgers and Jennings. Hopefully, the two teams will let the play on the field have the last word when the Packers and Vikings play October 27 and November 24.
