Minnesota Twins Prospect Dies in Venezuela

It was a sad weekend for the Minnesota Twins organization as they lost one of their own.

Pitching prospect Yorman Landa passed away in Venezuela early Saturday morning in an motor vehicle accident.

The 22 year old, reportedly died outside Caracas.

Landa has been with the Twins since 2010 when he was signed as a 16 year old.

In 100 minor league appearances within the Twins organization, Landa had a 2.66 ERA.
