Minnesota Twins outfielder Josh Willingham will return for the first time since having knee surgery on June 3. Willingham has been playing in Triple-A Rochester and has gone 1-for-9 from the plate, while hitting a home run.

In other Twins news, Ryan Doumit will go to the seven-day disabled list after suffering an injury against Houston last Sunday, where he took a foul ball off his catcher's mask. Doumit was believed to sustain a concussion.

In the Twins doubleheader on Friday, Kyle Gibson will make his eighth big league start in the afternoon and Liam Hendriks will start the nightcap. Gibson is 2-3 with a 6.69 ERA with 20 strikeouts. Hendriks has been in Triple-A for much of the season after a 4.66 ERA in two starts to start the year. In his last eight starts in Triple-A, Hendriks has a 4.10 ERA.

For the White Sox, John Danks will pitch against Gibson, and former Twins draft pick, Charlie Leesman will make his MLB debut against Hendriks. Leesman was picked in the first round of the 2005 first year player draft by Minnesota.
