Minnesota Man Stabbed in Sioux Falls Incident. Unwelcome Guest Arrested.

Police say a man who was in Sioux Falls from Adrian, Minnesota was stabbed Saturday afternoon in an apartment on South Main Avenue.

Information Officer Sam Clemens says two men and three women were in the apartment in the 800 block of South Main around 5pm Saturday. He says the 58-year-old Minnesota resident was visiting a friend and had invited the women, but when the man decided to leave he didn't want the resident to be responsible for kicking the women out.

He told the women they needed to leave but he would give them a ride back to where they had met, but as they left, one of the women pulled a pocketknife and stabbed him in the abdomen.

Clemens says police arrived and arrested Ashley Lucinda Iron Star, a 27-year-old transient, for aggravated assault.

The Minnesota man's injuries were not life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
