Good news for the Minnesota Vikings. Head coach Mike Zimmer is back on the sidelines.

Zimmer is celebrating his 61st birthday today (June 5) by returning to the team. The Vikings announced on Twitter that the coach has been cleared to return following a hiatus due to another eye surgery.

Since the surgery on May 20, Zimmer has been legitimately away from the team. He was told to recover back at his ranch in Kentucky. He will be back on the sidelines throughout the rest of organized team activities (OTAs), and he resumes his normal job duties moving forward.

Zimmer is in his 4th year as Vikings head coach. He is 26-21 overall as the team's head coach.
