Allie Weber is a local sixth grader at Edison Middle School. Apparently, at Edison Middle School backpacks aren't allowed in the classroom. Because of this most students carry around heavy binders.

Allie didn't like that idea, so she decided to do something about it. She used two old straps from a backpack and attached them to the binder with carabiners and BAM! The 'Got Your Back Binder Strap' was born!

For those of you who may think she is still breaking the rules, Allie had this to say: "Making things is really fun. And if you solve a problem at the same time, it's a win-win. I just figured out how to make a binder into a backpack without breaking school rules."

Allie is looking into patents and she is smart to do so. She also said she may want to be a patent lawyer someday or work for NASA. She wold also like to be on 'Shark Tank.'

Well, I think at the rate she's going, she could probably do all three.
