On your next visit to Glendale, Ariz., you may drive down Marty Robbins Boulevard. The late country singer's hometown will rename a downtown stretch of street in honor of the Country Music Hall of Famer.

On Sept. 26, Glendale locals will come together to celebrate their native son in an honorary street-naming ceremony for the new Marty Robbins Boulevard, which will run through the center of the city's historic downtown. The one-mile stretch, originally called Glendale Avenue, will extend between 59th and 51st Avenue.

The street-naming ceremony will take place on what would have been Robbins' 91st birthday, although the "Some Memories Just Won’t Die" signer died when he was just 57 of heart failure. With storytelling hits like "El Paso" and "Singing the Blues," Robbins earned Top 10 hits, a Grammy, the Artist Resurgence Award from Billboard and an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame just seven weeks before he passed on Dec. 8, 1982.

The official Marty Robbins Boulevard will be unveiled on Sept. 26 at 2:30PM in Glendale, Ariz.
