Marshall Tucker Band Celebrate 45 Years of Touring With 2016 Trek

The Marshall Tucker Band are marking more than four decades on the road with the 2016 Long Hard Ride Tour.

To honor their musical history, the MTB named their 2016 trek after one of their older studio albums, 1976's Long Hard Ride. The record turns 40 years old this June.

"I look back at it all now and just think, 'Wow,'" lead singer Doug Gray says in a press release. "We've been doing this for 45 years, and every year, I get more excited about getting back out there to start a new tour. We wouldn't still be here if not for all the fans, young and old, who keep coming to see us every night."

The Marshall Tucker Band began their 2016 Long Hard Ride Tour on Feb. 18 in Alexandria, Va. Already in March, they've played Las Vegas, Nev., and Key West, Pompano Beach and Ormond Beach, Fla. They'll continue criss-crossing the country throughout the year, including some stops at summer festivals and more dates to be announced.
