Margo Price is one of country music’s most talented up-and-comers. Before striking out on her own as a solo artist, the singer-songwriter was a well-known musician in Nashville, playing with artists such as Sturgill Simpson and Marty Stuart guitarist Kenny Vaughan. Price recently released her debut album, Midwest Farmer's Daughter, and her first single, "Hurtin' (on the Bottle)," is now hitting country radio.

“Hurtin’ (on the Bottle)” is a stunning debut from Price, and one of country’s best drinking songs in years: “I put a hurtin’ on the bottle / Drinkin’ whiskey like it’s water / But that don’t touch the pain you put on me,” she warbles over the chorus. The verses are somewhat quieter, but still full of Price’s signature fire. Readers can press play below to hear "Hurtin' (on the Bottle)" and watch its official music video.

"Hurtin' (on the Bottle)" is the first single from Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, which was released on March 26. On April 9, Price performed the single, as well as the song "Since You Put Me Down," on an episode of Saturday Night Live that was hosted by Russell Crowe. Price is currently in the middle of an international tour, with planned dates across the United States, the U.K. and Denmark.

Midwest Farmer's Daughter is available for purchase via iTunes, Amazon and Third Man Records.
