RAPID CITY - A South Dakota man is braving the cold temperatures as he starts a new carrier service in Rapid City.

Dan Rose started 219 Cycle Courier at the beginning of the year. The same-day service will deliver everything from packages to envelopes and lunches in downtown Rapid City and surrounding areas.

Rose tells KOTA-TV that he will deliver in all weather conditions.

He says 219 Cycle Courier is an eco-friendly option to other courier services. He says the idea to deliver packages by bicycle is not a novel idea. He says it's been used in larger city for years.

But he says now it's time for Rapid City to join in.
