Man Killed, Another Injured in Aberdeen Boom Truck Tip

ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — One man was killed and another was injured after they fell out of a boom truck that tipped over in a Walmart parking lot in Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen American News reports that Michael Fogel died Friday after being flown to a hospital in Fargo, N.D. Authorities did not release the name of the injured man, who was taken to a hospital in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen Police Capt. Dave McNeil says officers estimate the workers fell between 15 and 30 feet. He says the men apparently were doing maintenance work on a light pole in the parking lot when the accident happened Friday morning.
