SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Bond has been set at $20,000 for a man accused of using a machete to attack another man at a Sioux Falls apartment.

Twenty-four-year-old Derek Arapahoe did not enter a plea in court Monday to charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest. But the Argus Leader newspaper reports that Arapahoe told journalists he is innocent.

Authorities allege that Arapahoe and another man believed to be his brother assaulted a 21-year-old man with a machete during an argument on Friday. The 21-year-old suffered a head injury that is not considered life-threatening. Police are still searching for the second suspect.
