The Sioux Empire United Way has big plans for their upcoming campaign and one organization is uniting to help older women.

Lutheran Social Services is just one of the many groups who benefit from United Way funds.

This year United Way introduces a new program with Lutheran Social Services called Better Together.  The program pairs up independently living older adults with volunteers of all ages for regular social opportunities. It aims to combat loneliness, a major contributor to depression, chronic health problems, and resulting higher medical costs.

All of these individuals, and many others will be helped by the 11th Annual Women Unite Luncheon Event on  Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Ramkota Exhibit Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funds raised will support Better Together.

Around 900 people are expected to gather for inspiration, live music, and networking.

For tickets to the 2015 Women Unite Luncheon go to www.seaw.org/WomenUnite-Event for $15 or a table for $150. Or call Lutheran Social Services at (605) 221-2403.
