For the past seven years, Luke Bryan has hosted annual Spring Break concerts in Panama City, Fla., but he's decided that this year's immensely successful event is his last. And during a chat with The Today Show at the party (which ran March 11-12), he explains why.

Essentially, the 38-year-old singer didn't want to be the "weird old guy," despite the fact that his free concerts attract hundreds of thousands of people.

"It's kind of sad that it is the last one," Bryan says, "But somehow I was able have an excuse to be at Spring Break all through my 30s. It's probably time to shut 'er all down."

The ACM Entertainer of the Year has gone out with a bang. His annual two-day event in Florida drew over 400,000 people this year!

"My fans have been so wonderful to embrace these special Spring Break albums over the last seven years,” Bryan explains. “We’ve created a lot of amazing memories writing these songs and performing them at the beach shows in Florida. Those concerts are among the most enjoyable of my career!"

It looks like just about everyone had a blast at the superstar's final Spring Break party, including his own mother, who rocked some groovy dance moves during the show (now we see where he gets it!).

Although his college party days may be behind him, Bryan still has a full roster of exciting activities planned in the future. He's hosting the 2015 ACM Awards with Blake Shelton on April 19, and his Kick the Dust Up tour is set to launch on May 8. It's a good time to be Luke Bryan, even without the red Solo cup and flip flops.
