It doesn't matter if you work in a small office or the large multi cubicle work force.  There's a lot of snacking going on.

If you eat a good breakfast more than likely you're not one to snack before lunch.  But so many are in a rush in the morning which leads us to forget about eating right.

Then mid-morning comes and you're looking around in your desk drawer for a quick-fix-snack or head to the vending machine.  STOP!  Give yourself a mental slap.

If you plan ahead you can have a healthy snack everyday.  It won't bust your bank account and your coworkers may get the hint.

Someone came up with the ten easiest things to snack on at your desk, that are also cheap AND healthy.  Here's a few suggestions:

  • Almonds.  They fill you up, because they have more fiber than other nuts
  • Low-fat popcorn
  • Fresh fruit or dried fruit
  • Protein bars.  Look for one that's under 200 calories, and has fruit and nuts in it.

Go around your office and take a survey of what people have in their desks that they snack on.  Then, come up with a plan, as a group, for a healthy alternative.
