Now through December 24th, there is a "Believe Station" set up in Macy's in the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls. For every letter written to Santa, Macy's is donating one dollar to Make A Wish of South Dakota!

Letters should be addressed to Santa at the North Pole and stamps aren’t necessary. You can also mail letters to our office at 1400 W. 17th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104  or contact the Make-A-Wish office at (605) 335-8000 for pick up (in the Sioux Falls area).

You can click here to print out the 'official' Santa Letter Stationary.

A great way to get all the kids involved is to have their class do a project where they all write a letter to Santa! You can download the school kit here.

Friday, December 6, is National Believe Day across the country. The purpose of the day is “to celebrate the spirit of generosity and goodwill while spreading the holiday season’s message of joy and kindheartedness toward all.” For all letters received at the Macy’s store on this day, Make-A-Wish will receive $2 per letter, instead of $1. They also hope to grant a wish to a South Dakota child that day.

If your school is participating, Make-A-Wish would love to hear about it. You could take a picture of the class writing their letters and e-mail it to them at info@southdakota.wish.org so they can post it on their Facebook page.

Make A Wish grants wishes to children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. You can learn more about them here.
