Learn About Long-Term Care
South Dakotans have an opportunity in the coming months to learn about long-term care.
The State Department of Social Services says the educational sessions will also focus on the Long-Term Care Partnership Program.
The sessions begin September 30 and run through November 19.
The DSS says they will include basic information on long-term care, the related costs, how to plan for long-term care needs, what Medicare and Medicaid will cover and how the Long-Term Care Partnership Program can help.
The Long-Term Care Partnership Program is a public-private partnership that offers people quality, affordable long-term care insurance without depleting their assets.
The hour-long educational sessions are free and open to the public.
Sessions scheduled for the Sioux Falls area include:
Tuesday, October 1, 10am at Active Generations
Monday, October 7, Community Ed, Instructional Planning Center
Wednesday, October 30, 4 & 5:30pm, Caille Branch Library
Wednesday, November 6, Tea Hall
DSS says the complete schedule is available at www.ltcpartnership.sd.gov/educationsessions.aspx
