Lead Woman Gets 15 Years for Sex with 12-Year-Old

DEADWOOD, S.D. (AP) — A Lead woman has been sentenced to 15 years in the State Penitentiary for having sex with a 12-year-old boy.

Staci Jo Graves was arrested in March and pleaded guilty to two felonies in late August in a plea agreement with prosecutors. The Rapid City Journal reports that she was sentenced Thursday.

Prosecutor Brenda Harvey said the plea deal spared the victim from having to testify at a trial.

Graves is in her early 40s. She will be eligible for parole in 7 ½ years.
