CHAMBERLAIN - The late Gov. Bill Janklow is among 10 people who will be inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame later this year.

The Hall of Fame, located in Chamberlain, will hold its annual honors ceremony on Sept. 13-14 to recognize the new inductees for contributions to the growth and development of South Dakota.

Janklow, who died in January 2012, was attorney general before serving as governor from 1979 to 1987, and 1995 to 2003.

Also being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year are Miles Beacom, Sioux Falls; Ruth Brennan, Rapid City; Bernard Christenson, Pierre; Shirley Kells Halleen, Sioux Falls; Dr. Dennis Knutson, Sioux Falls; Pat Lebrun, Rapid City; Thomas Lillibridge, Bonesteel; Jerry Shoener, Rapid City; and Charles Trimble, Omaha, Neb.
